On the Little Dipper.

March 2, 2013 § Leave a comment

Also known as Ursa Minor or the Little Bear, the Little Dipper is my favorite constellation. The 7 stars that make up the Little Dipper are shy. They don’t reveal themselves all of the time or all at once. They wait for the right moment, the right night sky, the right clarity and the right location to show their brightness. On most clear nights I can see the Little Dipper from my childhood bedroom window, and that’s probably why it’s my favorite constellation, as the power of nostalgia is both unmeasurable and unbeatable.
